There is no hotter team than the Milwaukee Bucks right now. The line has moved from +1.5 to -1 and -1.5 in some places although approx 30% of the public is on the Bucks. The main reasons for the line movement is Howard, Tim Thomas and Erik Dampier are scratches from the line up. This gives the Mavericks a short bench here tonight. So what does that mean?
That means they will find it tough on 0 days rest 1-4 ATS in their last 5 and 1-2 ATS this year to contend with the Bucks who like to fly up and down the court with their new star Brandon Jennings who is coming off a 55 points performance in his last game. The rookie Jennings was selected 10th overall and is just 20 years old. He played in the Europe league last year instead of playing college ball. Jennings in Michael Redd's absense has scored 87 points in his last 2 games combined. I look for him to have another good game against Dallas here tonight as Jason Kidd or Terry won't be able to match up.
The Home team is 9-2 ATS in the last 11 and Dallas is 0-9 ATS in their last 9 trips and are 10-24-1 ATS in their last 35 vs. the NBA Central. Milwaukee 5-2 overall are out scoring opponents by 9 points at home this year and are shooting the ball well 47.5% and rebounding at a +13 rebound margin thanks to Andrew Bogut and others.
Bottom line Jennings is a star in the making and the Bucks just have too much to play for against a Mavericks team that will be short handed here again tonight for the second night in a row. I like the bucks rotation a lot more than the Mavericks and the Bucks beat this team by 34 points the last time they hosted. Take the Bucks!
